Tips
- Runs get easier with time. Be consistent and keep going.
- Not every run will be a PR or fun.
- You will progress and then have a time where you don't see much improvement. It just takes time.
- Run for yourself, don't compare your speed to others. Do your best.
- Start with short distances. Walk and running is great. 1 minute run/1 minute walk.
- Don't do the same workout everyday. Hard workouts day after day will hurt your body.
- Breathe through your belly button.
- Run, walk, lift, rest.
- Wear spandex or something that protects from chafing.
- Wear something that makes you feel cute and confident.
- Go to a real running shoe store and get fitted for the right shoe.
- Drink water all the time. Not just when you run. Stay hydrated.
- If you are running distance, you need to have an electrolyte replacement drink like Gatorade or Nuun.
- You might need a snack along the way-- for runs over 1 hour.
